“…Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen…”, Luke 24:5-6
“WHY SEEK YE…”
It is inherent human nature to look for answers concerning the how we came to be, why we exist and what on earth is our purpose. We look at ourselves and others to give us answers, not realizing that God has put the natural question in our spirit in order to draw us closer to Him to find His Answer, Jesus Christ. But because there is no good thing in our flesh and our carnal minds and demonic influence draw us away from truth, we are easily misled.
“THE LIVING…”
Who is the living? Jesus Christ is the firstborn of all those to be resurrected. Colossians 1:18 says “And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Jesus is the only one who has ever lived that currently lives in eternity. He actually lived on this earth without sin. Yet Jesus died a death that was truly meant for me and you because we are guilty of sin (All have sinned and come short of the glory of God). He fulfilled the price for sin with His blood sacrifice. But because He was and is sin-less and faultless, the Father raised Jesus from the dead with all Authority over sin and death handed back to Him. (The ultimate Adam.) For all who are striving for immortality, through family, wealth, fame or even religion, you cannot and will not find it unless you come to the Father through His Son, Jesus. When you accept Jesus as Lord, then He gives you that same Authority, through Holy Spirit, over the enemy and over sin in your life. And life eternal with Him.
“AMONG THE DEAD…”
Isn’t it amazing how 2000 years plus after Jesus’ death, the world is still looking for answers among the dead? Who are the dead? The dead are those in the world who purport to hold the keys to wisdom, but deny Jesus and Him holding all wisdom in His hands. If human beings had the answers to the universal questions of why, how, what and who, don’t you think we should have found them by now? Why do you look for your mother, father, brother, sister, husband, wife, friend or boy to give you truth? Who is a shaman, cleric, priest, reverend or imam to give you wisdom? Buddha, Confucius, Shiva, Muhammad are all dead. So why do we seek after the confined, finite, so called wisdom of mere men? Why? When all knowledge, wisdom, revelation comes from the Heavenly Father? “See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah).” Colossians 2:8 Amplified
“HE IS NOT HERE…”
Jesus Christ no longer lives in the physical among us, but resides within all who believe in Him through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. There are so many that have come saying they are the Christ, or they know the truth, that “we are gods”. Yet we know we are awaiting the Savior to come again and rule over His kingdom on earth. Until then, it would be easy to look to those who sound spiritual or look pious enough to give us wisdom and knowledge about the natural curiosity we have about our purpose in life. But don’t fall for the deceptions of satan and our egotistical cravings, which are mainly carnal and fleshly desires to remain in self and not in God. Without accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord over your life, you are living under a cloud of darkness and deception. Without Him we have no real wisdom or knowledge. It’s all corrupt. Our thought and ways will never compare to His thoughts and ways. For He is the great I Am.
“BUT IS RISEN.”
Lift up your heads O ye gates; and be ye lift up…. Look to the hills from whence cometh your help. All of your help comes from the Lord… The truth is if you are risen with Christ, you should seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. If you don’t know Jesus in the pardon of your sins, it doesn’t matter what you have done, where you have been, or who you did it with. He doesn’t care about any of that. He cares for YOU. Father God did not send Jesus to condemn the world, but to save YOU. There is NOTHING that will separate you from God’s love. This day is not a day of condemnation for you. It is not another year of trying to get things right before you come to Him for good. Now is YOUR time to have a new beginning with Him. YOUR CHAINS ARE BROKEN. YOUR YOKE IS REMOVED. SIN IS NO LONGER YOUR CONSTANT COMPANION. THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD IS RISEN FOR YOU. CAST YOUR CARES UPON HIM, FOR HE CARES FOR YOU!!
THUS SAYS THE LORD OUR GOD:
“THERE IS NO GOOD THING IN THE FLESH. I AM THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF YOUR FAITH. NO MAN HAS MY KNOWLEDGE. WHY DO YOU PERSIST IN LOOKING TOWARD FLESH TO BRING YOU OUT? DOCTORS CANNOT HEAL YOU. LAWYERS CANNOT SAVE YOU. TAX MEN WILL NOT REDEEM YOU. PRIESTS CANNOT ABSOLVE YOU. WHY SO DO YOU LOOK EVERYWHERE BUT AT ME? IT IS BECAUSE IT IS THE FLESH THAT MOTIVATES YOU TO KEEP LIVING IN SIN. RIGHTEOUSNESS MEANS YOU MUST DIE TO YOUR OWN FLESH. DO NOT LOOK TOWARD THE DEAD TO LEAD YOU. THE DEAD MUST BURY THE DEAD. I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. TRUTH RESIDES ONLY IN ME. LOOKING TOWARD THE FALLIBLE TO BRING YOU TO INFALLIBLE TRUTH ONLY LEADS TO FALSE HOPE AND LOST EXPECTATIONS. MAN WAS BORN INTO SIN. SIN IS THE SLIPPERY SLOPE THAT LEADS TO DEATH. DEATH HAS NO END BUT DESTRUCTION INTO THE PITS OF HELL. WHEN YOU HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH ME, YOU NO LONGER STAND UNDER THE CURSE OF THE LAW, SIN AND DEATH, BUT YOUR TRANSGRESSIONS ARE BURIED UNDER MY GRACE AND MERCY. MY BLOOD COVERS YOUR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE SINS TO BRING YOU FAULTLESS BEFORE THE FATHER. WHEN YOU HAVE RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH US, THEN YOU CAN SEEK TRUTH, WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. WHILE YOU LIVE UNDER SIN, YOU CANNOT COMPREHEND MY WISDOM, BECAUSE TO YOUR HUMAN EARS IT SOUNDS LIKE FOLLY. IT MAKES NO SENSE. BUT WHEN THE CLOUD OF SIN AND SHAME IS REMOVED, AND THE LIGHT DISSIPATES THE DARKNESS, THEN MY WORD MAKES PERFECT SENSE. DON’T SEEK YE FIRST THE FOLLY OF MEN. BUT SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THEN ALL OTHER THINGS WILL BE ADDED TO YOU. NOT JUST PHYSICAL THINGS, BUT MY WISDOM, WHICH OUTWEIGHS ALL.”
