It is inherent human nature to look for answers concerning the how we came to be, why we exist and what on earth is our purpose. We look at ourselves and others to give us answers, not realizing that God has put the natural question in our spirit in order to draw us closer to Him to find His Answer, Jesus Christ. But because there is no good thing in our flesh and our carnal minds and demonic influence draw us away from truth, we are easily misled.
Day by day it’s so easy to compare our morality to those we see and know. We walk around with a sense superiority, thinking to ourselves “at least I don’t do that”. However, the fact remains that none of us is perfect. Sin is sin. No matter how big or small it seems to us
Pride will tell you to blatantly lie to yourself. It will whisper in your ear and say it’s unnecessary because you aren’t that bad. Pride will keep you from seeing a need to ask for forgiveness ON PURPOSE. It will say “God knows your heart. You don’t need to say anything because He already knows what you did.” Yet pride is a tool, a spirit of deception used by the enemy to further distance you from The Father.
