These questions are for you to ponder until the next Sabbath (Saturday or Sunday according to your assembly’s affiliation):
ARE YOU SEEKING A CERTAIN MINISTRY OR ARE YOU SEEKING GOD??
ARE YOU HEARING A PREACHER OR ARE YOU LISTENING TO THE WORD??
ARE YOU LISTENING TO THE CHOIR OR ARE YOU SINGING PRAISES TO THE KING??
ARE YOU WAITING FOR A BREAKTHROUGH OR ARE YOU MOVING TOWARD THE GOD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH??
ARE YOU WANTING TO BE SEEN BY THEM OR DESIRING TO BE SEEN BY HIM??
ARE YOU WANTING TO BE IN WORSHIP SERVICE OR NEEDING TO BE IN WORSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST??
ARE YOU GOING TO CHURCH OR ARE YOU GOING **TO BE** THE CHURCH*??
Seriously, think about these questions this week. Question yourself and be honest about WHY you actually go to church week in and week out. If you are going always looking to receive something and never to give of yourself to God the Father, then it’s time to do a personal inventory. It is a GIVE and take relationship. YOU give yourself to Him and allow God to take your life and do with it what He will. Then God Almighty will give you the desires of your heart as your life begins to align with His purposes for you.
Assess your relationship with Jesus Christ. Notice I didn’t say religion or religious affiliations. I said your relationship. Determine the real reasons you get up and go to church every Sunday. Are your motives yours or His??
