Romans 12:1 New King James Version “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Leviticus 1: 1-9 New King James Version (NKJV) The Burnt Offering Now the Lord called to Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of the livestock—of the herd and of the flock. ‘If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord. Then he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him. He shall kill the bull before the Lord; and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. And he shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces. The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay the wood in order on the fire. Then the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire upon the altar; but he shall wash its entrails and its legs with water. And the priest shall burn all on the altar as a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.
This morning, while I was waiting for a prayer call to start, God gave me a vision. In the Spirit, I was in the Tabernacle of Moses in the desert. While there, I saw a bull walk up to the altar by itself to be presented as a sacrifice. As the high priest came up to prepare to lay the bull on the altar to be sacrificed, the bull began to speak. The bull said “Now I want my blood to be poured out like this and I want my body to be used like that and I only want certain parts of me to be burnt up, but I don’t want the other parts touched.” I looked on in amazement and marveled at the bull’s arrogance. God said to me ” How be it that a sacrifice can tell Me how it must be used?” I just shook my head and said to Him, “Father I do not know.” I then found myself in the Temple of David after the veil was torn. God then showed me a particular person. She arrogantly walked beyond the veil into the Holy of Holies to present herself as a sacrifice on the Altar before God. But as the High Priest came up to present her to Father, she began to speak. She said, “Now I’m coming to You but I don’t want to give up all my life’s blood. And when You use me, I want to serve in this capacity where I can be seen and not in that service where I’m uncomfortable. And I’m not presenting this certain part of my life just yet. I’m holding that in reserve until I see how You will give me what I need. I need balance in this relationship. What are You going to do for me because I’m sacrificing my life for YOU?” I really got uncomfortable because I just KNEW God was going to smite her with Fire in that moment. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing or hearing. I heard Father say, “Why does she present herself to me in this manner?” All I could say was “I don’t know Lord.” Then I heard clear as day “Forgive her for she doesn’t know what she is doing.” The I heard the question, “Who is she my daughter?” As I looked to see who she was, for her back had been turned toward me and her face hidden, she turned and I saw a face with the names MY BRIDE/THE CHURCH written on her forehead.
Then I saw me.
I was devastated. I began to realize I was doing that very thing. I was a conditional sacrifice. I quickly began to cry in my soul and begged God to forgive me. Before I could even get the words “Forgive me” out of my mouth, Jesus said “You are already forgiven. There is no condemnation in Me. Now let’s go to the Throne together and let me show you…” I then “woke” up.
Holy Spirit wants us to know: IF AND WHEN YOU PRESENT YOURSELF AS A LIVING SACRIFICE, BE WILLING. BE ACCEPTABLE OF WHAT COMES WITH THE SACRIFICE. ALLOW ME TO POUR OUT YOUR LIFE’S FORCE BEFORE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. ALLOW ME TO USE YOUR BODY IN MY SERVICE AS I SEE FIT. ALLOW ME TO WASH YOUR INSIDES TO MAKE THEM PRESENTABLE FOR MY USE. ALLOW ME TO BURN UP EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME. ALLOW THE FIRE OF MY SPIRIT TO COURSE THROUGH YOU AND MAKE YOUR LIFE A SWEET SMELLING AROMA TO THE FATHER. NO LONGER HOLD BACK PARTS OF YOURSELF. GIVE ME ALL OF YOU. IT IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE. JESUS THE CHRIST DID NOT HOLD BACK ANY PART OF HIS BLOOD BUT LET IT BE COMPLETELY SHED FOR YOUR BENEFIT. GIVE ME ALL OF YOU, YOUR LIFE, YOUR BLOOD, YOUR BODY, YOUR SOUL, YOUR SPIRIT, THAT I MAY USE YOU TO REACH A DEAD AND DYING WORLD. PRESENT YOURSELF TO ME. LAY ON MY ALTAR AND ALLOW MY FIRE TO CONSUME YOU. LAY ON MY ALTAR AND ALLOW MY POWER TO ANOINT YOU. LAY ON MY ALTAR AND ALLOW MY SPIRIT TO USE YOU. LAY ON MY ALTAR AND I WILL CLOTHE YOU IN A WHITE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. FOR I HAVE NO NEED OF YOUR BLOOD SACRIFICE. JESUS IS YOUR RAM IN THE BUSH. HUMBLY SUBMIT YOURSELF TO ME AND LET ME USE YOU FOR MY GLORY.
Romans 12:1-2 The Message So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
