Stop, Yield, Go.

Stop thinking you are the center of the universe. Yield to God being bigger than anything you can imagine. Go put someone else’s needs before yours and reap the benefit of giving versus receiving.

Stop and smell the roses God has planted for you to enjoy. Yield to the beauty life has to offer. Go somewhere and sit, even if it’s for a few minutes, and breathe in the wonders of nature and your environment.

Stop to appreciate the positive friends which give you great counsel. Yield to their wisdom and expertise, especially in areas you aren’t proficient. Go out of your way to let them know you value them and their spirit.

Stop believing you have the answers to all life’s problems. Yield to your fallibility and inability to do everything perfectly. Go to God’s Word and allow the One who knows all to direct your paths in life.

Stop wondering what your purpose should be. Yield to the prompting of Holy Spirit to be quiet enough to listen to His plan for you. Go in boldness with His plan once you hear AND accept what you are called to do.

Stop craving and desiring everything you know is bad for your health. Yield to the education and information you have read about proper eating, exercise and good health. Go to the doctor, eat something healthy and start an exercise program that fits you.

Stop saying you can’t stop your bad habits. Yield to the fact that you don’t have the ability to break a bad habit without Holy Spirit empowering you to do it. Go lay your weakness before Heavenly Father and trust Him to help you lay that bad habit down for good.

Stop underestimating the importance of your love with your spouse. Yield to the passion and love God gave you when you first met. Go out on a date with them and re-ignite the furnace as if it is your first date all over again.

Stop and learn the power of forgiving your enemies and yourself. Yield to forgiveness’ ability to free yourself from the pain and hurt of a past you cannot change anyway. Go to that person (look in the mirror) and say I forgive you. And really mean it.

Stop putting off for tomorrow what you could do today. Yield to the reality that time is never going to stand still during this lifetime. Go and use every minute to the fullest because tonight, let less tomorrow, is not promised.

Stop and thank God for keeping you this long. Yield to His Grace and Mercy which has followed you all the days of your life. Go and give Him Glory for everything you can think of that He’s done for you.
