Please stop holding God responsible for the actions of PEOPLE who use His Word to justify their terrible and evil deeds.
Each and every person on this Earth has FREE WILL given to them by God. What they choose to do with this free will is UP TO THEM. God has allowed evil to happen on and in Earth because WE CHOOSE IT.
But…
Evil has a time limit. It won’t continue forever. It will run it’s course. Evil too shall pass.
With your free will, you can choose to assign blame to God for the actions and deeds of another OR you can choose to recognize that ALL men fall short of the Glory of God and are enraptured and captured by the snare of sin. Free will gives you the option to forgive the most heinous of sinful crimes against God and humanity OR your free will can cause you to hold God accountable for the words, deeds and beliefs of others who used THEIR free will to misconstrue, misappropriate and misuse His Word for THEIR evil gain.
God created them. Yes He did. That fact alone does not mean that He condones or approves their behavior and evil. Using the words “God made me do it.” does not mean in fact or truth that God made them do it! Using the Bible as a basis for hate filled, murderous rampages does not make God the culprit for the evil. The PEOPLE who justify their actions by His Word are going to pay for their misdeeds AND for using God’s Name in vain. This goes for every one, including ALL the historical, maniacal, twisted and evil men and women who did unspeakable things to people “in the name of God”. Slave owners, conquistadors, church officials (both Roman Catholic and Protestant), dictators, kings and queens, fiefs who preyed on their residents, whole societies and nations who used the Word of God to justify their evil will stand before God and explain their actions and deeds. There are many who say to me, “As a black woman of slave descent in America, how can you justify believing in a God and religion that was used to enslave and vilify your people? How could you believe in the “Blond haired, blue eyed ‘Savior'” that was used to keep your people in subjugation?” I tell them this: It’s simple. The God of the Bible, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is NOT the god of the people who perpetuated these crimes and evil against humanity. Like any other religion, Christianity in it’s religious form, is heinous and can be used and twisted to fit anyone’s sick and evil agenda. I have a RELATIONSHIP with the REAL Father, through Jesus Christ and strengthened by Holy Spirit. A TRUE relationship with God will make you love. Love Him and love them. If you love Jesus, you will follow His commandments. If you love God, you will not desire to do anything which will cause Him pain OR bring shame to His Holy Name.
Many others claim my “true” religion should be Islam or Muslim belief, because the African continent was mostly Islamic before being kidnapped and enslaved by Christians. BUT I KNOW MY HISTORY TOO. Remember the Eunuch from Acts 8? …And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning… First of all, the eunuch went to Jerusalem to worship…at that time Jerusalem was still inhabited and controlled by the JEWS not the MUSLIMS. Second, he was studying the book of ISAIAH not a book of the Koran. Third, after Phillip explained the passage he was trying to understand, HE ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS THE MESSIAH HE HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR. He then WENT ON HIS WAY BACK TO ETHIOPIA. You know, Ethiopia, in Africa, where there are black people?? One of the earliest and CONTINUOUS churches (communities of believers in Jesus Christ) can still be found all over the UPPER REGIONS OF NORTHERN (WEST AND EAST) AFRICA. It wasn’t until the later centuries AFTER Jesus Christ lived did the Muslim population begin to expand into the continent of Africa. Jesus is the God of Africans too… but I digress.
God cannot be made responsible for the evil a person creates or perpetuates. The string of thinking which states ultimately the creator of a creation is responsible for the consequences of the said creation is false. Is a mother, who is both wise and kind and raised her children to be so now responsible for the actions of her grown son who is hurtful and evil in his deeds? Do we take the son and mother to task because of the actions of one she has no control over? Or do we have the ability to separate the son from the mother?? In the day and age we live in today, many will use the Name of the Father to justify and do the evil which THEY CHOOSE TO DO. It is wrong. Don’t hold God accountable for the evil some choose to do in His Name.
