LISTEN! WHO told you that you have permission to break the rules and regulations? WHO makes you think you’re the exception to the rule of any and everyone? If they say no eating in the building, then why do you get angry, offended, disrespectful AND disobedient when someone challenges you and your hot dog? You made it up in your mind you’re gonna do it anyway. But you’re wrong.
If they said you aren’t to go back there, then who are you to knock on the door, demand entrance to go back there anyway? If you’ve been directed to stop asking for particular favors, then who are you to be the first one to show up, with your hands out, completely disregarding the talk you had with the leader? The authorities have said it’s dangerous for you to be outside. Just because some bureaucrat told you that you can’t go, now you find every excuse in the world to go exactly where they’ve told you not to go: outside! You have already decided can’t nobody but Jesus tell you what to do. But you’re wrong. You are dead and rebelliously wrong! YOU are NOT the exception to the rule. YOU are rebellious, egotistical, disrespectful and WRONG.
YOU are not exempt from the perils and punishment of disobedience. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus, and you are the walking and talking epitome of this example, then it’s time for you to take a real look at your heart. You aren’t special enough to act in rebellion and offense to every rule, regulation, edict and law set around you. Who are you to decide who is beneath your consideration for leadership? Who are you to decide that no one is above your level of contempt for authority and authority figures? The spirit of offense is oozing out of your pores and you can’t keep justifying your behavior anymore. Your fellow believers are getting impatient because they’ve tried a 1000 different ways to tell you but you’re too blinded by offense to see they’re trying to help not hurt you. Your leaders have spoken to you on several occasions but somehow you always twist it to think they’re talking about someone else not talking TO YOU. You can’t see you’re walking in contempt and rebellion against leadership and authority? Jesus calls for us ALL to walk in humility and servant-hood to each other. Yet, you think that means your position, power or social standing gives you the right to do otherwise. The first shall be last…
I decree in the Name of Jesus that the spirits of offense, rebellion and ego are loosed off the people of God! Let the hearts of God’s people be set free from disrespect, disobedience to authority and manipulation. I bind the works of these spirits and cast them down and out by the Name of Jesus. Cover Your people by the Blood of the Lamb. Let the healing and reconciliation of your people, who were scarred by offense, begin today. Let Your people see our hearts and repent quickly before Your Throne of Grace that we might obtain mercy! Let us quickly forgive offenses, both small, big and perceived and release the love, humility and service of Christ to one another. Let us be obedient and honorable to those in authority over us, including those we have erroneously thought beneath us. All authority comes from You God and we recognize it and You in our thoughts, actions and deeds. In Jesus Christ Name we pray! Amen!
