Self Love in the Face of External Hate

Listen HERE! Until someone else comes to their senses, YOU fight for YOU. Fight! For yourself!! Don’t let the best part of you die to the self-doubts and insecurity of someone else! You don’t need external conversation to have internal validation! You are worth more than rubies, pure, solid gold and so much more. Just don’t wait on someone else to prove that to you. Prove it to yourself everyday by allowing God and you permission to love you. The first way to find love is to find it in God. Then the next step is to fall in love with who and what you are: a beautiful/handsome, wonderful, caring, redeemed and whole person.

Is the love you show others is the love you are denying yourself? I want you to seriously think about that. Somewhere deep inside yourself, maybe you believe you don’t deserve to love yourself because of your flaws, imperfections and “misdeeds”. The truth is you have to embrace ALL of you! God loves you JUST AS YOU are!! Did you know that? Doesn’t matter what you’ve done (or not done). Doesn’t matter if you’re almost perfect (or far from it). HE LOVES YOU! The love He has given you that you feel in your heart is a gift to love those around you, but it’s also a gift to YOU. It’s your right to receive His love for yourself. Turn the table on yourself and treat you to some of the incredible love you know how to give! Yes, you do. You deserve it. Yes, you can. You do it for others everyday. Yes, you know how. Do for yourself what you do for others. Encourage yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back. Have a pep-talk with you and say “I can do it!” What makes those you care for more important than you? Think about that before answering.

A cup cannot pour out what it does not hold… fill your cup with all the love God has surrounded you with. “Jesus said unto him, ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” (Matthew 22:37-38) Now, how do you say you love God but hate that which He created, you?! How are you supposed to love somebody else if you don’t love yourself first? OUCH and amen!

Do not withhold yourself from the bountiful blessings and ON-PURPOSE love God has showered on you. Feel the soft breeze on your skin. Kumbaya, embrace the flowers of the earth and love the person God created in YOU. No matter what anybody else says… it really doesn’t matter! YOU are a masterpiece of God’s shaping. With and definitely without anyone else’s permission.

Go ‘head with your beautiful/handsome self! Say it with me:

“I love me some ME!”
