Leviathan, aka PRIDE won’t let you admit when you’re wrong, will keep you from releasing forgiveness, makes you think you are always correct, puffs you up in arrogance and ego and stops you from from ever saying “I’m sorry.” It seeks to pull you down into its depths of darkness, murkiness and pressure so you cannot see in the Light your true shape and form.
Leviathan is a strongman in the kingdom of darkness, and it harbors many evils within itself, including deception, rejection, lack of accountability, self-centered narcissism, rebellion and lying spirits. In order to be free from it, you must renounce it, ask for forgiveness and repent or turn away from the behavior. But that’s the catch 22. You have to admit you’re wrong in the face of a stronghold of the mind that tells you you’re never wrong!
To break the hold of the leviathan spirit, there must be intercession, humility, healing and reconciliation. Many people will be set free from pride, ego and unforgiveness AFTER one person humbles themselves and goes to another they have an aught with and asks for forgiveness. When the light breaks forth with one, it will spread to another and another and so on. But it’s going to take someone brave enough to make the first move…
Christ humbled himself to the point of death to make sure that we would not be held hostage to the depths of hell. He overcame sin, death and the devil, including leviathan. We, as believers must begin to humble ourselves before our brothers and sisters and learn to be QUICK TO RECONCILE with each other, if we have an issue. No greater love for a brother can one have than to lay down his life for him… we have to be willing to lay aside our hurt, bruised ego, pain, unforgiveness so there can be healing, and reconciliation betwixt each other!
Leviathan is running rampant in our midst because we refuse to say “I’m sorry!” to each other. The Body needs deliverance and healing not more unforgiveness and division.
Can you say “Please forgive me?” even when you THINK you’ve done no wrong?
