A series on Leadership: Part Four
I was just sitting here thinking… Ever wonder why government and business leaders meet behind closed doors, strategize and then present their action plan to the public? Why is it acceptable for them to be so secretive and hush hush until the unveiling? Well sometimes it’s because they don’t want anyone to take their ideas and make them their own (espionage). Sometimes it’s because they don’t want anyone to destroy the plan before it can be implemented (sabotage). Sometimes it’s because they have to make sure the plan will withstand every circumstance (criticism). Sometimes it’s because they have to keep everything under wraps until the world is ready to receive the plan (premature birth). Sometimes its because they have to make sure the plan will be approved by the President or CEO (accountability).
The systems of this world get it…Now we as the children of God and Leaders must get it too.
Stop sharing every plan you have been given with everybody as soon as you get it. Some people are around you because they know the anointing on your life is special and they want to spy and rip off the plans God has for you and your ministry. The espionage is not only limited to people on the outside of your ministry but can come from the mole, the closest person to you. It is better sometimes to not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Stop involving everyone in the implementation of the plan God has shown you. Choose your team well because everyone around you doesn’t mean your ministry any good. The ONLY reason they have been sent is to sabotage and destroy God’s work in your life. (Yes, people not demons!)
Stop getting upset when people come against the plan of God. You have to do your due diligence and make sure you’ve dotted every i and crossed every t by Holy Spirit and The Word. But don’t give them fuel for the fire either. Make sure the plans are air tight. Integrity in ministry is vital for the health and viability of your life and ministry. Criticism of you and your ministry plans is inevitable. They criticized Jesus and His ministry was perfect. Why do you expect anything less?
Stop being so quick to move on the plan before it has been fully revealed and refined. More ministries and plans for God’s Kingdom die before their time, even though they are fabulous plans, because they didn’t count the entire cost before moving into action. Premature death happens in ministry because it wasn’t thought all the way through or unexpected costs came and ate up valuable resources.
Finally, stop moving on God’s plan before you seek His timing and approval to do so. Just because He gave you the plan right then doesn’t mean it’s meant for you to implement the plan right then. As a leader in Christ you must know to bring EVERYTHING to Father before you move on anything. Accountability to God is a cornerstone of ministry and personal life as well. You are being held accountable to Him for your life and the lives of others as well. Making sure you have your Leader’s OK is the most important part of every plan.
The world and its leaders are doing things behind doors in order to make things, both good and bad, happen in the world. Though the world has a twisted view and agenda, we can learn from their leadership techniques, implement them and garner the same success in Kingdom Building. (After all they learned them from Father God…all authority and leadership comes from God.) It is our job as leaders and children of God to go beyond The Veil and receive the plan of God for His people and to establish His Kingdom agenda in the earth-realm.
We were ALL made leaders when we became sons (and daughters) of the Most High God. We are the kings of the King of kings. It is time to start thinking like a leader/king.
I’m just sayin’…
