Authority. According to scripture, God has already given you permission. “Permission for what?”, you ask? Some of the things we as believers are asking God to do, He has already given us authority to perform in the Earth.

Jesus came to show us the way to become supernatural beings in the spiritual AND natural worlds. His example was not only for us to live a life of righteousness, but also a life filled with extraordinary abilities, supernatural exploits and authoritative purpose. The keys which were given to us by Jesus unlock not only demonic doors but doors of opportunity, miracles and authority in the Earth to manifest real and lasting changes that affect all people.
The authority to use Jesus’ Name is a gift and an obligation. It means we are authorized to be the hands and feet of God, placed here to be His ambassadors and effect the mountains or spheres of influence (religion, family, education, business, arts & entertainment, media and government) in ways that will bring about the manifested Kingdom of God. With this authority comes responsibility. We must use it and not abuse it. We must not deny or ignore it.
As believers, we are called to do more than just believe. We are given the assignment to operate in faith. The authority given to us is authenticated and available for us to use in the Name of Jesus Christ. The same power & authority that rose Jesus from the dead is the same exact power that resides in us. Do you believe that? Do you and are you willing to exercise the faith required to use the authority God has entrusted wyou with? Are you willing to use that authority to affect change in your life and in the lives of those in your sphere of influence? The Scriptures tell us we have both access and permission. Are you ready to exercise your rights?
The beginning of 2020 is an excellent opportunity to to become aware of and operate in the authority and power you have over your life and the things God has given you charge over. You have power over the enemy and the actions of your flesh. You have authority to decree a thing and the universe has no choice but to establish it. You have the power to cast out demons, tread on serpents, heal the sick, change atmospheres and set standards for miracles, signs and wonders to occur. You have express permission to legislate and regulate what happens in you life, the environment around you and the world at large.
Simply put, you have the authority to go and be greater than Jesus. Whew. Yes you do. The Word says it. You have to believe it.
This year’s 2020 S. O. A. K calendar starts with authority so that you can firmly establish who you are and what power you have through Holy Spirit right from the start. If you can get this deep down in your heart, then all that comes behind it will be reinforced by the authority you have to be rooted and grounded in the Word. The power that God has given you to be be victorious in every area of your life is already yours. This first year of the new decade is essential to establishing the fact that what we speak, we will receive. As you Study, Observe, Apply and Kneel in prayer about each scripture, let it take firm root in your heart. Speak in authority and watch God move in ways you never imagined before.
