The Light of the Universe

If there were no sunlight would you still be able to see the Son? The Light of the universe has nothing to do with our sun, moon and stars. Don’t believe me?

Genesis 1:3-5 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the “FIRST” day. (NKJV, emphasis mine)

AND THEN

Genesis 1:14-19 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the “FOURTH” day. (emphasis mine)

There were 3 days between Light’s creation and sun, moon and stars’ creation.

Think about that for a few minutes. Deep huh?

From the very beginning, God gave mankind the ability to see The Light. He did it even before Adam and Eve were spoken into existence. So your ability to see The Light has nothing to do with what we call the sun. It has everything to do with being able to distinguish the Light in the midst of darkness. It means being able to see Jesus’ Salvation in the midst of the all encompassing darkness of sin and shame. So when the weather seems funny and the stars are dim. If the rain clouds block the sun and the moon won’t shine, then look to Jesus, The Light of the World. He can brighten your darkness and shine a brilliance upon you so great, the whole world can’t help but see.

COME TO THE LIGHT!!
