Does it?

For those of you that think like this: “Well, I only pray my good outweighs my bad. God knows my heart.”, let me ask you a question. If you break the law, get caught red handed, are arrested and go to jail, you will stand before a judge, right? If the judge has any bit of judicial chops, they will hear the facts of your arrest, look at the evidence and pronounce you guilty. If you are convicted of breaking the law it doesn’t matter how many laws you DIDN’T break before that offense, a right minded judge is not gonna say you aren’t guilty in this time just because of your “goodness” in not breaking the other laws.

If that be the case in the natural, WHY do you think the Most Right, Holy and Ultimate Judge will be any different? It doesn’t matter how “good” you have been, if you have sinned against God in any way, then you’ve broken the Law, then you are GUILTY.

Here’s the good news for those of us who believe in Jesus Christ (and for those of you who choose to believe after reading this status): When the Righteous Judge asks do we have anything to say in our own defense, we can turn to Jesus. We let Our Lawyer speak for us, for we know we have no defense. We have an Advocate, a Counselor who knows how to litigate in the Judgment Room. When the Judge makes His pronouncement, our Advocate stands up for us and says, “Although s/he is guilty of the crimes committed, I have taken their punishment for them. I paid their bond and have bailed them out with My Blood. They accepted me as their Bail Bondsman. Please let them off under My recognizance and authority.” The only thing that covers up the crime, and keeps you from doing the time (eternity) in hell is THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

As believers, it’s not that we are perfect or have never sinned, “for all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”. It’s that we have put all our faith and trust in The One who NEVER sinned yet gave His life as a ransom for us while we were STILL sinners.

Faith in Jesus is what gets you out…

Faith in JESUS is what gets you in.
