God shared something with me last night that I want to share with you. He said
“MY WORD IS LIKE PURE FILTERED CRYSTAL-CLEAR LIVING WATER. THEY DON’T HAVE TO ADD CRYSTAL LIGHT, KOOL-AID OR EVEN A SLICE OF LEMON TO IT TO MAKE IT TASTE BETTER. THEY DEFINITELY DON’T WANT TO ADD SOMETHING LIKE HAWAIIAN PUNCH MIX, WITH ARTIFICIAL COLORS, FLAVORS AND EXCESSIVE SUGAR. MY WORD IS BEST TAKEN STRAIGHT WITHOUT MIXERS.”
Here is what He means by this: The Word stands on it’s own and is the only source for living an authentic, wisdom filled, righteous life. When you start adding things like horrorscopes (misspelled on purpose), books like The Secret and other new age philosophies, mysticism and other practices the Word is diluted. To make matters more complicated, when a person starts seeking answers from psychics, gurus and even preachers who “soften” the impact of The Word, they run the risk of a life full of artificial wisdom, worldly knowledge and a sugary sweet slope of dissent into pits of despair.
Remember, The Word of God is best ingested without filtering through your own eyes of understanding or the so-called wisdom of other worldly sources. It is best taken straight no mixers.
